SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 27, 2018) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) cross-country teams look to continue their winning tradition in 2018 as they celebrate their 10th season of competition.
The women's team has been a dominating force in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) after winning three consecutive titles and four total. They see no reason for this to change this year. The men's team has won three consecutive titles, and they hope to add another one this year.
Head Coach Stephen Sherman, who has received the RRAC Coach of the Year award for three consecutive years for both women's and men's teams, said, "I think we are going to be pushed a lot harder this year than we have in the last couple of years. Looking at some of the teams coming up, I think we are going to have to do everything we can on our end to make sure we win it. We can't show up to the meet this year and go through the motions. We are going to have to go there and really give it our 'A' game and make sure on that date we are the best we can be. Nothing can be taken for granted, and that is what is different this year."
