KANSAS CITY, MO. (March 19, 2016)  – (Box score) The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's basketball team made history tonight -- competing in the University's first-ever Elite 8 round of the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship. Despite a hard-fought battle, the No. 5 seed Saints fell to No. 3 seed MidAmerica Nazarene 82-95.

Head Coach Ryan Wall commented: "This group of young men played their hearts out, but we came up short of our goal. This team made history making it to the Elite 8, but we will continue to improve to hang a red banner one day in our gym. I love this group and how hard they worked for me and for this university. My three seniors (Anthony Cole (SR/Memphis, Tenn.), Alex Sattley (SR/Portland, Ore.), Christian Wood-Dvorak (SR/Halletsville, Texas)) had a great career and I hope the best for each one of them in their next journey in life. Again, I loved coaching this group this year, even though we knocked heads, that always comes with the job description. I love my job with young men like them. Can't say enough good things about this group.

"I could not do what I do if I did not have the staff I have. They have worked day and night the past almost eight months. My staff is the reason why we are 22-9 and made history. Corey Beechner, our trainer, is another reason why we were 22-9. We were banged up all year, and he kept our men healthy. He does not get enough praise for the things he does for me."
