FARMERS BRANCH, TEXAS (May 6, 2017) – Kristina Tiffany (SO/San Antonio, Texas) led the Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) softball team to two victories today to advance to the semifinals of the 2017 Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Championship Tournament. The Saints started out the day with a 4-0 win over Huston-Tillotson University (HTU). After Langston University defeated the University of the Southwest in today's second game by a score of 5-3, LSU-Alexandria (LSUA) then beat the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) 6-2. The Saints closed out the second day of the tournament with a 4-1 win over Langston University (LU).
Langston (18-34/2-2 in RRAC-T), HTU (21-22-1/0-2 in RRAC-T) and USW (19-25/0-2 in RRAC-T) were all eliminated today. OLLU (25-22/3-1 in RRAC-T) will begin the final day of the tournament on Sunday at 11 a.m. in a game against UHV (33-18/1-1 in RRAC-T). The winner of that game will face LSUA (46-8/2-0 in RRAC-T).
