SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 7, 2021) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) University lost a four-game series against Central Methodist University (CMU) this weekend and start the season 0-4 overall.
Game One
The Saints led 4-1 after three innings with doubles from Tyler Vivier (FR/San Antonio, Texas) and Robert Lopez (SR/San Antonio, Texas). The Eagles cut the lead to one in the top of the fourth inning with a Logan McDonald single. CMU tied the game one inning later and scored one run in the top of the seventh to win 5-4. Alec Martinez (JR/Corpus Christi, Texas), Adrian Gonzalez Jr. (JR/Weslaco, Texas) and Devin Benavides (FR/Laredo, Texas) each gave up one run for the Saints. Benavidez pitched 1.2 innings and recorded three strikeouts.
