SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 3, 2018) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's basketball team has released its 2018-2019 schedule. The Saints have nine home games on the calendar and 21 away competitions. They will play each of their Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) opponents twice, one at home and one away.
Head Coach Chris Dial, who has begun his first season with the Saints, comes to OLLU from the Basketball Embassy. He created this multinational, nonprofit organization that builds community through basketball and assists National Basketball Federations as well as other organizations in their quest to grow and develop the game of basketball in their country or region.
Joining Dial is Assistant Coach Dustin Karrer, who also comes from the Basketball Embassy. He graduated from Texas State University and has coached throughout the San Antonio area for several years.
Others joining the coaching staff this year are Aaron Tavitas and BJ Alzaid. Tavitas was previously the women's basketball head coach at Sul Ross State University (SRSU), while Alzaid was an assistant coach for the men's basketball team at Concordia University – Texas.
