SEGUIN, TEXAS (Sept. 11, 2018) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) volleyball team battled Texas Lutheran University (TLU) and prevailed to win 3-2 in a nonconference match.
The Saints move to 3-6 overall, while NCAA D3 TLU drops to 3-5.
Head Coach Jeremiah Tiffin said, "This was definitely an ugly match but I'm proud of how we battled. We hadn't played a five set match this year and this was a great opportunity to show our mental toughness before conference play.
"I'm really happy with how Tijana played. We expect out middles to hit over .300 and I'm hoping she continues this level of play.
"We have a huge match on Friday. It is our first home match, and we're playing a really good St. Thomas team. Probably their best team since I've arrived at OLLU. I'm excited to start conference play and see how much we've improved since the season started."
