SAN ANTONIO (April 22-23, 2016) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) softball team was unable to avoid a series sweep against No. 20 University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) to close out the regular season. The Saints fell 12-0 and 7-0 on Friday and 6-0 and 4-3 on Saturday. The four losses drops the Saints to 26-18 on the year and 19-9 in the Red River Athletic Conference. The Jaguars clinched the RRAC regular season title after finishing 25-3 in conference and 35-11 overall.
Prior to Saturday's doubleheader Victoria Balderas (SR/Humble, Texas) was honored as a part of the Seniors' Day festivities.
Head Coach James Kling said, "It was a rough weekend for us. UHV played very well. We played better in the last game and hopefully that will carry over to the conference tournament and we can get on a roll there."
