PLAINVIEW, TEXAS (Nov. 13, 2017) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team suffered a shocking 100-80 loss to Wayland Baptist University (WBU) in a nonconference matchup.
The Saints move to 2-1, while the Flying Queens improve to 2-0.
Head Coach Christopher Minner commented, "It was a tough game against a really good team. They are way better than people think and they can shoot. I was disappointed in our first half; we just need to get better. We just have to get our players back healthy and try and survive our preseason."
The No. 13 Saints are 3-3 against the No. 23 Flying Queens. Their other two losses came in 2009 and 2010, when they lost 69-87 and 66-73. In 2012, the Saints won 77-53, and in 2013, they came out ahead 91-69. In their last matchup, the Saints won 91-84.
