BABSON PARK, FLA. (Oct. 5, 2017) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) volleyball team dropped a nonconference matchup against Webber International University (WIU) this evening. The game is part of the Royals Classic hosted by Warner University. The 3-0 loss drops the Saints to 11-6 overall, while WIU improves to 13-3.
This is the first game between the two NAIA teams. Webber received votes in the latest NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
Head Coach Jeremiah Tiffin commented, "We played an experienced Webber team tonight, and it showed in the results. I thought we were evenly matched but they made more plays in each set to pull away.
"We did a good job passing in a new environment and running our middles. For both of them to hit over 300 shows me we are doing some good things.
"We came to this tournament to play good teams to prepare us for the second round of conference and we are doing that. I'm hoping Saturday will see us improve."
