SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 4, 2017) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's basketball team has released its 2017-2018 schedule. The Saints have 11 home games on the calendar and 21 away competitions. They will play each of their Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) opponents twice, one at home and one away.
Head Coach Ryan Wall, returning for his fifth season, said, "This is yet another year where we have a stacked schedule. We like to get our student-athletes ready for the conference, and if we play easy teams, it does not help us. I think we will be able to play faster this year with our personnel. Our league is very tough so we have to get these guys ready. We also play these type of schedules so that we can find out what we need to work on in our press. At the end of the day we have to be the hardest working team on the floor regardless of who we are playing."
Joining Wall this year is new Assistant Coach Michael Poindexter, who comes to OLLU after serving as an assistant coach and head coach at his alma mater Cordova High School in Memphis, Tenn.
