WACO, TEXAS (April 10, 2017) – Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) baseball's JB Martinez (SO/San Antonio, Texas) was named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 3-9 for his dominating performance against the University of the Southwest Mustangs on April 7.
Martinez started and pitched eight shutout innings in the Saints' 7-0 win, striking out 13, including five of the first seven hitters he faced, giving up just five hits with no walks. The Saints won the series 2-1 over the Mustangs to improve to 16-22 for the season and 7-9 in conference.
