BROOKINGS, S.D. (March xx, 2020) – Miki Romain (SR/Round Rock, Texas) from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) placed 16th in the 2020 NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field National Championships last week.
Romain took part in the 60m hurdles and competed against 28 other athletes. Her final time was 8.96. in 2017, she placed 21st with a time of 9.20 and last year, she placed 17th with a time of 9.04.
Head Coach Stephen Sherman said, "I believe all of Miki's experience at high-level meets really paid off for her in South Dakota. To literally run her best 60m hurdle race ever the last time she'll ever compete in that event collegiately is a really special thing. What's more is to be the 16th best at something in the entire NAIA is very special. Coach Terry Smith and I are extremely proud of and happy for her, and I think she has great things ahead of her in outdoor season too."
