LONGVIEW, TEXAS (March 4, 2016) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team pulled off a huge win over LSU-Shreveport (LSUS) in the semifinals match of the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament. The Saints struggled on offense, but the team came together to win 88-70 to advance to the championship game on Saturday. The Pilots end their season with an overall 21-8 record, while the Saints improve to 28-2.
Head Coach Christopher Minner commented: "It's always nice to beat Shreveport. We dominated the first half. Our defense was tough for three quarters, and we shot well from three. Our guard play was the difference on offense, and our rebounding was exceptional. We need to put a good 40 minutes together tomorrow if we want to cut another net down. Defense will be the key tomorrow."
