KANSAS CITY, MO. (Feb. 18, 2020). – Dezeree White (SO/Houston, Texas) of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) was named as the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced the national office on Tuesday. White was chosen out of a pool of conference group winners.
White is only the fifth player in OLLU history to receive national honors. Last season, Zhaio Yang Gu was named the NAIA National Men's Golf Golfer of the Week. In 2009-2010, Dionelle Rucker and Robert Martinez received the honor, and in 2011-2012, Josh Orta was named National Player of the Week -- all in men's basketball.
