DALLAS (Feb. 15, 2020) – The Our Lady of the Lake (OLLU) University Saints baseball faced Texas Wesleyan University (TWU) and Bellevue University (BU) for a pair of doubleheaders this weekend. Texas Wesleyan is the No. 17-ranked team in the NAIA and Bellevue is ranked No. 7. The Saints beat Texas Wesleyan 3-0 and 18-8 but dropped both games against Bellevue 11-3 and 5-4. The Saints are 7-8 on the season and 0-0 in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC).
Head Coach Bryan Aughney said, "Logan Garza (JR/Round Rock, Texas) was in the zone in game one and did a great job of keeping their hitters at bay. In the second game against Texas Wesleyan our bats got hot and we stayed disciplined in the zone. We got down early in the first game against Bellevue, but I was pleased with how our guys kept competing. We didn't get the result we wanted in game two against Bellevue, but we competed and hopefully proved to ourselves that we can compete with anyone."
