SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 13, 2019) – Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) has announced the addition of Patty Medina as the assistant coach for women's basketball. She comes to OLLU after three-years as a collegiate head coach. She spent one year at Westcliff University in Irvine, Calif., and two years at Bethesda University in Anaheim, Calif. Before that, she was an assistant coach at the community college level throughout Southern California for six years.
Medina joins Head Coach Stacy Stephens, who began her position this summer. She joined the Saints in 2017 as the assistant coach after an illustrious collegiate and professional career in basketball. She played for the University of Texas, where in 2017, she was inducted into the UT Athletics Women's Hall of Honor. In July, it was announced that she would join the Texas High School Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020.
