SAN ANTONIO (May 21, 2019) – Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) and Trinity University will be the location for the Assembly 2019, hosted by Spurs Sports Academy and The Basketball Embassy. More than 140 international athletes and coaches will participate in this weeklong educational and cultural visit to San Antonio, highlighted by a basketball camp for young athletes from the U.S. The camp begins June 9 and runs through June 15. Male and female high school athletes ages 15-18 from San Antonio and surrounding areas also will be part of the camp, and registration for individual participants is available now at Spurs.com/Camps.
Each athlete will have the opportunity to receive top-level instruction through Spurs Summer Basketball Camps and compete alongside local participating athletes at state-of-the-art facilities, including Our Lady of the Lake University, as well as Trinity University. The camp will include all-day sessions on-court practices, sport-specific training sessions and conditioning activities. All participating athletes will receive an Assembly 2019 jersey, an evaluation from the coaches and a skills challenge powered by Ballogy. Assembly 2019 also will include competitive evening matches against local teams, which are open to the public to attend.
