ESPANOLA, N.M. (Dec. 2, 2018) – Despite turning over the ball just five times while forcing 17 turnovers, the Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's basketball team fell to the Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) Eagles 103-69. The nonconference game moves the Saints to 1-6 while the Eagles improve to 5-7.
Head Coach Chris Dial commented, "This was a tough game in a tough environment, which will help us prepare for similar environments in conference. We did not come out ready to play, and they played with a lot of energy and made shots. We were better in the second half, but put ourselves in too big of a hole to crawl out of. We have an opportunity tonight to play a complete game and continue to improve heading into conference."
History
This is the forth matchup between the Saints and the Eagles. In 2010, the Saints won 125-103. Last year, the Saints won two games, 91-89 and 104-86, but both games had to be forfeited by OLLU.
