OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 17, 2018) – Fueled by another outstanding performance from Kasey Saldana (JR/San Antonio, Texas), the No. 15 Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team defeated No. 10 Oklahoma City University (OCU) 89-81 to conclude the Oklahoma City Classic. The win moves the Saints to 3-1, while the Stars suffer their first loss and drop to 4-1.
Head Coach Christopher Minner said, "It was a fantastic bounce back [after Friday's loss to Wayland Baptist University]. It was a great effort today on both ends of the floor. We showed today that we can compete with the elite teams in the country. We really shot the ball well in the first half and got them out of their zone. It's a big win for our program. We need to keep getting better. We showed a lot of heart, effort and determination today. This is a great win early in the season."
