CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (Nov. 16, 2018) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's cross-country team participated in the 63rd Annual NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships that took place this morning. The event was held at Seminole Valley Cross Country Course in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The men came in 33rd place out of 36 teams in the men's 8-kilometer race that featured 330 runners with an overall time of 2:14:46.
Head Coach Stephen Sherman said, "I preached to our whole group all year long to not take anything for granted and to strive for November; that we would ultimately be judged based on our November results. That said, I am proud of the way this group we brought to the NAIA meet handled themselves. I can't say everyone from our group necessarily had their best race, but I can say with certainty all of them left all they had on this day out there."
